I’ve long been a huge fan of botanically-themed design, perhaps because it celebrates and elevates the beauty of the natural world around us. Perhaps you’ve noticed that here and there on this site. In our own home, we’ve incorporated an oak leaf motif on our fireplace screen, Japanese-style wave paintings in the master bath, and, in our sons’ room, I aspire to create a Japanese/Swedish-style woodland.
This week, visiting Twitter’s new offices in San Francisco, I discovered some stunning examples of this style — clever, beautiful riffs off the company’s bird logo. So I thought I’d share my (admittedly somewhat poor) cameraphone photos here. Hope some of the calm of the originals shine through.
